PILGRIMS MUSA AND SHERI IN THE NEW WORLD is an Off Center production of Center REPertory Company.  Off Center was created to present new and more challenging contemporary works in the intimate Knight Stage 3 black box theatre.  PILGRIMS is the 2012 recipient of the Steinberg Award, the largest national playwrighting award of its kind, given to the best new American play of the year not yet produced in New York City.  Center REP is proud to present this important new play by Yussef El Guindi. 

PILGRIMS tells the story of Egyptian immigrant Musa and his budding romance with Sheri, a white American waitress.  It uses the romantic comedy genre to explore the differences between American and Middle Eastern cultural values and expectations.
