Synopsis: A hilarious tale of overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. Six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.

Language: The kids in their frustration yell the word, “Goddamit” in the song Pandemonium.  Chip sings the song “My Unfortunate Erection” about his arousal distracting him from spelling and says the word, “shit.”.

Other: A mildly comical version of Jesus appears to Marcy at one point but it is not seriously disrespectful.
