On stage from June 1 – 29, 2025, Happy Pleasant Valley: A Senior Sex Scandal Murder Mystery Musical is a world-premiere musical by celebrated Bay Area composer/playwright Min Kahng. This co-production with TheatreWorks Silicon Valley tells the story of internet influencer Jade Park, who seeks redemption by helping her grandmother June, whose love life has become the talk of her senior community after a string of mysterious deaths. As the body count rises, Jade must solve the mystery to save her grandmother’s reputation—and her sex life. This bold musical challenges social taboos around aging and celebrates the intergenerational connections that make family worth fighting for.
